This position is funded from the Commonwealth's annual operating budget.Duties:
Incumbents of this position in this series provide nursing care to veterans, provide for daily care and personal hygienic needs of veterans; observe and record behavior and confer with other staff concerning these observations; perform related work as required. Qualified to care for adult and geriatric veterans.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must have at least one year of full-time, or equivalent part-time, paraprofessional experience in the field of nursing as a licensed practical nurse.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a current and valid license as a practical nurse under the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.

ALL EMPLOYEES ARE PAID ON A BI-WEEKLY BASIS AND MUST HAVE DIRECT DEPOSIT.

All employees must be able to pass a pre-employment medical examination.
This is a 24 hour/7 days a week staff position. The Soldiers' Home requires employees in this position to be able to perform mandatory overtime when circumstances dictate the need.
