          Role

          The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for a wide range of product design activities including the design concept, CAD design, component selection, implementation and testing of mechanical subsystems.

          Essential Duties and Responsibilities

          · Perform mechanical design functions, which require a high degree of technical competence. Design major components or major portions of a functional system. Select appropriate OEM components based on cost, function, and reliability

          · Use fundamental engineering analysis skills to evaluate design concepts and existing designs

          · Make recommendations on manufacturing process selection for designs based on quality, cost, and ease of manufacturing

          · Prepare from conceptual working layouts in CAD to determine feasibility of the Design

          · Design Preparation and presentation for Design Reviews

          · Verification testing of Designs

          · Perform Tolerance studies, Part verification studies and performance investigations

          Qualifications

          · Solid Modeling Experience in Computer Aided Design. Solid Works experience preferred

          · Working knowledge of mechanical production processes, such as Machining,Sheet metal, Plastic Molding, Mechanical assembly, etc

          · Ability to communicate effectively and constructively with peers and subordinates

          Education


          • Minimum of aB.S in Engineering required

          Experience

          · 0 to 3 years related design experience
